We’re thrilled to share that the Mass Dog Vaccination (Anti-Rabies) campaign is now in full swing in the rabies high-risk areas of Phuentsholing, which include Thromde, and Samphelling Gewog under Chhukha Dzongkhag.

This critical initiative is a joint effort, with the Regional Veterinary Hospital & Epidemiology Centre, Phuentsholing, working hand-in-hand with the Dzongkhag Livestock Sector, Chhukha, and the National Centre for Animal Health, Department of Livestock. Together, the team already vaccinated more than 500 dogs as of 31 July 2023.

We need your support, dear community members of these areas! Please join us in this noble cause by ensuring your beloved pets are vaccinated and protected against rabies. Let’s create a safer and healthier environment for both humans and our furry friends.

We kindly request your assistance in another important aspect of this campaign – helping us catch the unowned (stray) dogs. Your cooperation can make a significant difference in controlling the spread of rabies and ensuring the well-being of all beings in our community.
For more information about the vaccination schedule in your specific area, please don’t hesitate to contact the Regional Veterinary Hospital & Epidemiology Centre, Phuentsholing. They are always ready to provide you with the necessary updates.

Together, let’s protect our canine companions and work towards a rabies-free nation.

Let’s spread the word and make this campaign a resounding success! Thank you for your support!
