The inaugural training session, attended by 18 participants in the first batch, covered a wide range of topics, including fundamental aspects as as housing layout and design, brooding preparations, rearing and layer management, feeds and feeding management, identification of layer and non-layer birds, poultry vaccination techniques, cold chain management, feed and fecal sample collection, beak trimming, production planning, record-keeping, and implementation of biosecurity measures.
Recognizing the financial resources constraint, especially to organize such training for the farmers, the RPBC management proactively forged connections between the farmers and potential sponsors through open announcement to support the training with a simple lunch and refreshment for the participants. As a result, this training received sponsorship from Druko Feed Pvt. Limited and poultry entrepreneurs in the country. The RPBC management and the Department expresses its sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to all involved parties for their support, and contributing towards the development of the poultry sector in the country. This collaborative effort is aimed at enhancing the poultry production and thus improving the livelihoods of poultry farmers in the country.
The RPBC management is committed to conducting similar training programs in the future, provided there is interest from aspiring poultry entrepreneurs or individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge in poultry management, following the same collaborative model.
