𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐇𝐀𝐊-𝐒𝐀𝐌

𝟏 𝐌𝐚𝐲, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑: The Director of the Department of Livestock, along with other officials from DoL HQ attended the awareness meeting hosted by Lhak-Sam, Bhutan Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS BNP+, a civil society organization dedicated to providing education and support to all those affected by HIV/AIDS in Bhutan.

The program focused on the importance of taking collective action towards an effective response to HIV/AIDS and its negative impacts. The team from LHAK-SAM emphasized the need to take necessary preventive measures to prevent the HIV infection and its spread, including regular HIV screening.

Lhak-Sam is committed to reducing fear isolation, prejudice, and discrimination for people living with HIV (PLHIV), key affected populations (KAPs), their families, and the general public. The organization’s efforts are crucial in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for those affected by HIV/AIDS in Bhutan.

The Director and the officials from the Department expressed their appreciation for the informative meeting and Lhak-Sam’s effort in raising awareness about HIV/AIDS in the community.
